Responsive Search Ads (RSA)

Responsive search ads let you supply multiple headlines and descriptions, and the platform automatically tests different combinations to find the best-performing mix for each query. Google assembles the assets in real time, tailoring the ad to the searcher's intent and device while learning which combinations drive the most clicks and conversions.

Why It Matters

RSAs are now the default search ad format, so mastering them is not optional. Supplying varied, distinct assets gives the system more material to optimize with, widening reach and improving relevance across a broad range of search queries.

Common Mistake

Feeding near-identical headlines that all say the same thing. This starves the algorithm of variety and limits testing. Provide distinct angles, benefits, and calls to action, and pin only when a legal or brand requirement demands it.
